Floorboards Urine Smell

Hi all, previous owners of my house had pets that urinated all over unsealed floor boards in my bedroom (yuck!) i managed to get rid of most of the smell except when its damp it all comes back.. If you have both a cat and wood floors, you might eventually need to know how to remove cat urine odor from the floorboards. the floor may seem clean, but urine can seep between the boards or beneath cracks in the sealant if their are any.. Dried urine has a strong ammonia smell that can be difficult to get rid of. by treating fresh urine promptly, removing old odors and preventing accidents in the first place, you can eliminate dog odors and make your home smell fresh again..

Bleach on wooden floorboards is not a good idea! you will stain the floor and rot the wood. try using wood polish to seal the smell in, or pledge wooden floor cleaner mixed with warm water.. Remove urine from floorboards? i know this sounds awful but im doing up my bathroom and have ripped up a carpet and floorboards smell of pee, around tilet, does anyone know of a product that is safe and will work well to remove smell, thanks in advance. Dead animals are a likely cause of the smell, the best thing to do is to try and take some floor boards up where the smell seems the worse to try and locate the cause. try speaking to your neighbours to see if they are affected by the smell..
