Re: epoxy resin and fiberglass resin,transom repair if you have the room i'd try to put two layers of ply back. one layer is borderline at best for the max horsepower for that boat. woven roven will work, just alternate with chopped mat. if you need a smooth inside surface, finish with a layer of mat.. The boat is made so that it will not take a transom thinker than 1.5" so it sounds like i should get two sheets of 1/2" instead of one sheet of 3/4. so are you also recommending that after i laminate it with the epoxy, that i coat the whole thing a few times with the same epoxy?. Luckily as mentioned before i have the glen-l epoxy so i can make the repair the right way. i also found a small crack at the bottom center of the transom, where the vee meets the transom so i can repair that. not sure if it goes all the way through but i am pretty certain it does..
